At Crystal Legal Services we’re passionate about giving something back to the community. Each quarter we vote internally for a charity to support and fundraise for, but we also raise money on an ad hoc basis for many other charities.
This year we want to spread some of our Christmas cheer to those less fortunate so we will be hand delivering gifts to the LATH centre in Crewe.
The LATH Group is on a mission to ease the plight of the homeless in the Crewe and Nantwich area. The charity offers drop in centres where service users can take advice and have a meal.
We have rallied the troops and have split the office off into four groups. Each team has a category to collect for. These are: Hygiene (toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, Vaseline/lip balm and hand cream), Keep Warm (hats, scarves, gloves, socks, hand warmers), Hunger (sachets of: soup, hot chocolate, tea/coffee, noodles and instant made/non-perishables), and Night Time (plasters/pocket tissues, alcohol free antiseptic cream, ear plugs, eye masks and mini torches).
Once the collection deadline is met, the items from each category will be placed into shoeboxes to make a complete kit. The team who collect the most will be rewarded with some Christmas chocolate.
We will head down to the LATH centre based on High Street to deliver the shoeboxes to the service users, to hopefully spread a little joy to those less fortunate during the season for giving.
